Carrot Fries

Let’s be honest, no matter how disgusting we think fast food is, I think that we can all think of a time that we’ve driven by a McDonald’s, smelled those perfectly crisp french fries and couldn’t help but to try and justify making a quick pit stop. We live near a pretty industrialized area so needless to say, that thought happens way more often than I’d ever want it to but with our commitment to healthy, it’s easy to say no and instead come up with a different healthier recipe. Although it isn’t original, carrot fries are definitely a great alternative. They are ridiculously easy to make, cheap, and also taste JUST like sweet potato fries.

What you’ll need:
A bag of carrots–or as many as you’d like
Some vegetable oil
Some salt

Preheat oven to 425. While oven is preheating, slice carrots lengthwise and chop in half, like fries. Coat a baking sheet with oil. Place carrots in a single layer on the baking sheet. Sprinkle sparingly with oil and salt. Place in oven. Cook for 10 minutes, flip, and cook for 10 more. Cooking times may vary but you’ll just want to cook them until they are crisp.
